Scy-Chazelles. Robert Schuman's European dictation: "Don't forget the capital letters!"

Did you know that the word Europe always uses a capital letter? And that the Salon de l'Horloge, where Robert Schuman's historic speech was delivered, also doesn't tolerate lowercase letters? On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Declaration of May 9, 1950, Robert Schuman's European dictation was organized this Saturday, May 10, in Scy-Chazelles. And no one managed to hand in a perfect copy!
In this class of about fifty students, the children in Year 5 and Year 6 are the most studious. Sitting quietly while their elders are still fidgeting in their seats, regretting not being in class in the sunny gardens of the Schuman House, they wait in silence for Robert Schuman's European dictation to begin.
Stéphanie Jacques, Director General of the European Centre, gives the instructions, in the presence of the academic director of Moselle (Dasen) Mickaël Cabbeke: "A grammatical or spelling mistake is a penalty point, a hyphen or a capital letter is also a point."
